La Bonkevaart est un canal situé du côté nord-est de la ville de Leeuwarden dans la province néerlandaise de Frise. L'eau est célèbre en raison de l'arrivée de l'Elfstedentocht, qui a lieu ici depuis l'Elfstedentocht de 1985. La partie est de la Bonkevaart s'étend juste au nord de la Groningerstraatweg. La partie ouest forme la limite nord du quartier de la Liberté. Elle relie l'Ancien Quartier à la Dokkumer Ee près de Snakkerburen. Sur d'anciennes cartes comme celle de Veldminuut de 1854, "De Bonken" est mentionné.
