La gare de Stiens était une gare de l'ancienne ligne ferroviaire Leeuwarden - Anjum. La gare a été ouverte le 22 avril 1901 et fermée au transport de passagers le 1er décembre 1940. Cette gare a été construite selon le modèle de gare appelé type standard NFLS, qui a été utilisé pour différentes gares ferroviaires en Frise. La gare de Stiens faisait partie du type NFLS de première classe, et était également le seul bâtiment de ce type jamais construit.
