Le camp Twilhaar, également connu sous le nom de camp de travail Rijkswerkkamp Twilhaar, situé près de Nijverdal, était un camp de travail du Service national pour l'expansion du travail, destiné à faire travailler des hommes au chômage sur le Sallandse Heuvelrug.
En 1940, la construction du camp a commencé le long de la Paltheweg. En 1941, les premiers ouvriers sont arrivés au camp, des pêcheurs au chômage de Katwijk et de Scheveningen ont reçu l'ordre de créer une pépinière, qui portait le nom de De Plantage. L'Office national des forêts supervisait le projet.
