Ede Ulfert Staal (Warffum, 2 août 1941 - Delfzijl, 22 juillet 1986) était professeur d'anglais et chanteur et poète de langue régionale. Il est devenu connu grâce à des chansons groningoises qu'il a écrites et chantées sur la vie à la campagne dans la région de Groningue. Il a également écrit des chansons sous le pseudonyme E. Paltrams ('smartlap' à l'envers).
