La Westerheide est une zone de lande de 344 ha sur le territoire de Hilversum et Laren. La zone borde la Bussumerheide, l'A1, l'agglomération de Hilversum et la ligne de chemin de fer Amsterdam-Amersfoort. La lande forme un tout avec la Bussumerheide. À la frontière entre les deux zones se trouve un chemin non goudronné parfaitement droit d'environ 3 km de long, la Nieuwe Crailoseweg, également appelée Prière sans fin.
