Le siège de Groningue se déroula du 9 juillet au 28 août 1672 pendant la guerre de Hollande. Il se solda sur une victoire néerlandaise qui met fin à l'avancée des armées du prince-évêque de Münster. Tellement affaibli par cette défaite, le prince perd tous les territoires conquis quelques semaines auparavant. Chaque année, la ville de Groningue célèbre la victoire, le 28 août.
