Ulpia Noviomagus Batavorum, appelée de nos jours Nimègue, est le nom d'une ville romaine de Germanie inférieure, capitale du peuple des Bataves.
Les premières traces d'occupation de Nimègue sont des tombes de la fin du Néolithique - environ 2000 av. J.-C. sur le plateau du Kops.
