Voorweg est une station de tram rapide de RandstadRail et une ancienne gare ferroviaire de la NS à Zoetermeer sur la ligne Stadslijn de Zoetermeer. La gare a été ouverte le 22 mai 1977. À partir du 3 juin 2006, la gare a été temporairement fermée pour être rénovée en tant que station de tram rapide dans le cadre du projet de transport léger RandstadRail. Les quais ont été raccourcis et abaissés afin de permettre un accès de plain-pied aux nouveaux tramways rapides. La gare a également reçu des ascenseurs et les escaliers ont été rénovés. Selon les plans initiaux, la gare devait être rouverte le 3 septembre 2006 en tant qu'arrêt des nouvelles lignes de RandstadRail.
