L'église protestante de Gennep est une église de salle à trois côtés fermés, construite entre 1661 et 1663. C'est l'église la plus ancienne sur le territoire néerlandais construite avec des moyens propres. Jusqu'en 1816, l'église était néerlandaise réformée, l'ancêtre de l'église néerlandaise réformée. L'église, avec la maison de Pierre, le bureau communal, l'ancien clocher de l'église Saint-Martin et l'hôtel de ville de Gennep sur le marché, constitue une partie importante du paysage de Gennep.
