À l'origine, cette maison était pendant longtemps une ferme. Après son achat par Willem Hendrik de Beaufort en 1807, elle a été transformée en maison de campagne. La tour date de 1903. Dans la seconde moitié du 20e siècle, un hôtel y était situé. La terrasse au bord du superbe étang du côté est était à cette époque connue comme la plus belle terrasse des Pays-Bas. Depuis 2001, la maison est habitée par des particuliers. La maison et le jardin ne sont pas accessibles.
