Originariamente, questa casa è stata per lungo tempo una fattoria. Dopo l'acquisto da parte di Willem Hendrik de Beaufort nel 1807, è stata trasformata in una villa. La torre risale al 1903. Nella seconda metà del XX secolo vi era ospitato un hotel. La terrazza sul bel laghetto a est era conosciuta all'epoca come la terrazza più bella dei Paesi Bassi. Dal 2001, la casa è abitata da privati. Sia la casa che il giardino non sono accessibili.
