L'église a été construite au 13e siècle et a été dédiée à la sainte Catherine d'Alexandrie. Au début du 15e siècle, l'ancien chœur a été remplacé par un chœur gothique. Ensuite, à la fin du 15e siècle, le clocher a été construit. Lors de la restauration dans les années 30 du 20e siècle, le plâtre à l'intérieur de l'église a été enlevé, révélant la structure en briques.
