Le nom Hein Keverstraat vient de Hein Kever. C'était l'un des premiers peintres de Laren. Il est devenu célèbre pour ses scènes d'intérieur de paysannes et d'enfants, un thème typiquement larenois. Hein Kever a vécu à Laren pendant un certain temps sur la Naarderstraat et plus tard au Oude Drift 2 (en face de l'entrée du musée Singer).
