Covebo Stadion - De Koel - est le domicile du club de football de Venlo, VVV-Venlo, depuis 1972. Le stade est situé près de l'ancien Stade De Kraal dans une dépression sur la Kaldenkerkerweg, au sommet de la falaise à l'est de Venlo. Le stade a un jour accueilli 24 500 spectateurs lors du match FC VVV – Ajax en 1977. Lorsque le football néerlandais a connu une baisse d'intérêt public à la fin des années 80, De Koel a réussi à maintenir le nombre de spectateurs. Après PSV, Feyenoord et Ajax, l'un des plus hauts chiffres de spectateurs de l'ancienne Eredivisie a été atteint ici.
