Cette chapelle a été construite durant la première moitié du 16ème siècle et est
réalisée dans le style gothique.
Elle mesure intérieurement environ quatre par huit mètres et est couverte d'un toit de chaume.
Après des siècles d'abandon et de négligence, le bâtiment a été acheté en 1918 par l'association Hendrick de Keyser (établie à Amsterdam) et ainsi sauvé de la démolition.
Après une restauration majeure entre 1955 et 1957, la chapelle a été de nouveau consacrée le 15 mai 1960, cette fois à Dymphna. Dymphna est la patronne des malades mentaux et de l'épilepsie.
