La carcasse en pierre de ce moulin est relativement épaisse ; cela était nécessaire car le projet était d'en faire un moulin à pignon. Cela semblait nécessaire en raison de la plantation d'une forêt. Lorsque le meunier a réussi à empêcher cela, le moulin n'avait plus besoin d'être aussi haut et il a décidé d'en faire un moulin à talus ; c'est pourquoi les proportions de ce moulin sont quelque peu remarquables.
