De stenen romp van deze molen is relatief gezien bijzonder dik; dit omdat het plan bestond er een stellingmolen van de maken. Dit leek nodig vanwege de aanplant van een bos. Toen de mulder dit wist te verhinderen hoefde de molen ook niet zo hoog te worden en besloot hij er een beltmolen van te maken; vandaar dat de verhoudingen van deze molen wat merkwaardig zijn.
