La Haagsche Schouw était au 16ème siècle une maison de ferry, elle est ensuite devenue un bureau de péage, au 18ème siècle, elle est devenue une auberge. La Haagsche Schouw fait maintenant partie de l'hôtel Van der Valk à Leiden. Elle est située à l'intersection de la Rijndijk et de la Haagse Schouwweg, entre Leiden et Voorschoten. Pendant longtemps, La Haagsche Schouw était connue sous le nom de Het Schouw van Duivenvoorde.
