Op den Hering est un hameau situé au nord-est de Schinveld, dans les communes de Beekdaelen et de Brunssum, dans la province néerlandaise du Limbourg. Le hameau, qui se compose d'environ vingt maisons, se trouve le long de la rue Heringsbosch, qui constitue à cet endroit la frontière avec l'Allemagne. Le côté allemand de la rue s'appelle An der Venn et fait partie des villages de Niederbusch et de Hohenbusch. Op den Hering est séparé du reste de la commune de Beekdaelen par les forêts de Schinveld. Le bâtiment principal du hameau est la ferme Heringshof.
