Vlijmen est un village situé dans la commune néerlandaise de Heusden, dans la province du Brabant-Septentrional. Le 1er janvier 2008, le village comptait 14 043 habitants.Vlijmen a été érigée en commune en 1821, après le démembrement de la commune de Vlijmen en Engelen. En 1935, les communes de Hedikhuizen et Nieuwkuijk lui sont rattachées. Le 1er janvier 1997, la commune de Vlijmen est rattachée à la commune de Heusden.
