Meierijstad est une municipalité néerlandaise, qui a été créée le 1er janvier 2017 par fusion de trois municipalités de l'Est du Brabant dans la région de Meierij : l'unité de Veghel (y compris Erp), (38.304 habitants) et Schijndel (23.624 habitants), ainsi que Sint-Oedenrode ajouté (17.907 habitants). L'élection nécessaire à cette fusion a eu lieu le 23 novembre 2016.
En termes de population, Meierijstad avec 81.648 habitants est la septième municipalité du Brabant du Nord. En superficie, c'est la deuxième plus grande municipalité de la province. L'hôtel de ville avec le collège des bourgmestre et échevins et l'organisation administrative se situe sur la place de l'Hôtel de ville à Veghel. Les réunions du conseil municipal ont lieu au Château de Dommelrode, l'ancien hôtel de ville de Sint-Oedenrode.
