Meierijstad è un comune olandese, istituito il 1 gennaio 2017 tramite la fusione di tre comuni della regione dell'Oost-Brabante: l'unità di Veghel (incluso Erp), (38.304 abitanti) e Schijndel (23.624 abitanti), più il comune aggiunto di Sint-Oedenrode (17.907 abitanti). Le elezioni comunali necessarie per questa fusione si sono tenute il 23 novembre 2016.
Per numero di abitanti, Meierijstad, con 81.648 residenti, è il settimo comune del Noord-Brabant. In termini di superficie, è il secondo comune più grande della provincia. Il municipio, con la giunta e l'organizzazione burocratica, si trova in Stadhuisplein a Veghel. Le sedute del consiglio comunale si svolgono nel Castello di Dommelrode, l'ex municipio di Sint-Oedenrode.
