La Smaldonk est la zone entre Schijndel et la réserve naturelle de Wijboschbroek. C'est une magnifique zone de randonnée avec des mares à crapauds, des aulnaies, des haies et des murets. Autour des petites prairies se dressent des saules têtards. Dans les prairies de Staatsbosbeheer, on trouve des Lakenvelders. Des espèces de plantes telles que la Margriet et la véritable fleur de coucou y sont abondantes. La zone est riche en amphibiens.
