L'église luthérienne a été construite en 1615 à l'emplacement de l'ancien monastère des Witteheren (monastère des norbertins, voir aussi le Frans Loenenhofje et le hofje luthérien).
Dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle, l'église a reçu une nouvelle façade. Parmi les éléments remarquables, on trouve la chaire et les bancs en chêne de la seconde moitié du 17e siècle ainsi que la grille de baptême en chêne. Dans l'église se trouve l'orgue Ströbel datant du 19e siècle.
