La bataille d'Ourique a eu lieu dans la campagne d'Ourique, actuel Alentejo , le 25 juillet 1139, qui selon la tradition serait la date anniversaire d'Alphonse-Henriques de Portugal et de Saint Jacques . Elle a une place importante dans l'histoire du Portugal puisqu'elle marque la naissance de l'indépendance du pays.
