De l'eau s'écoule dans le lac depuis la montagne Phanom Rung et la montagne Prai Bat à travers un canal d'entrée à l'ouest du baray, dans une zone appelée "Saphan Khom" ou pont khmer. Saphan Khom est situé à Ban Khok Muang dans le sous-district de Chorakhe Mak, du district de Prakhon Chai, dans la province de Buriram, sur le bord occidental de Barai Muang Tam (le réservoir). Le mot "Saphan Khom" est dérivé du nom local ; "Saphan" signifie le pont et "Khom" signifie le khmer car il s'agissait d'un pont en bois soutenu par des vestiges de latérite khmère ancienne. Cependant, cette structure est un ancien mur de soutènement utilisé pour drainer l'eau dans le réservoir. Il peut être daté du 11ème siècle de notre ère. Ce monument ancien a été excavé en 2014 et 2019 de notre ère et restauré par la technique de l'anastylose en 2020 - 2021 de notre ère.
