La bataille de Fort Washington est une bataille de la guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis entre les États-Unis et la Grande-Bretagne. La bataille, menée le 16 novembre 1776, s'est soldée par une victoire britannique avec la reddition de toute la garnison de Fort Washington.
Après avoir vaincu l'armée continentale sous le commandement du général George Washington, à la bataille de White Plains, l'armée britannique sous le commandement de William Howe envisage de capturer Fort Washington, le dernier bastion américain sur Manhattan. Le général Washington pense à abandonner le fort en déplaçant sa garnison de 3 000 hommes dans le New Jersey, mais est convaincu par le général Nathanael Greene de le défendre.
