Le musée McDonald's de Des Plaines en Illinois est une réplique de 1984, du premier restaurant drive-in franchisé McDonald's, ouvert par Ray Kroc en avril 1955, à Des Plaines, dans la banlieue de Chicago, en Illinois aux États-Unis. Il est jugé admissible au Registre national des lieux historiques depuis 1984.
Après avoir exploité un cinéma de 1932 à 1937 à Glendora en Californie, puis un restaurant rapide drive-in de Hot-dog et de viande grillée au barbecue, servis dans les voitures, à Arcadia, au sud de Los Angeles les deux frères Richard et Maurice McDonald fondent avec leur père, leur premier « restaurant drive-in McDonald's » à San Bernardino en Californie au bord de la mythique U.S. Route 66 ,,.
