Loring Air Force Base est une base aérienne située dans l’État américain du Maine, dans le comté d’Aroostook. Construite en 1947 et opérationnelle en 1953, elle a été, jusqu'à sa fermeture en 1994, une des plus grandes bases du Strategic Air Command de l'US Air Force.
Les origines de la base remontent à 1947 avec une commande pour la construction d'un aérodrome par la Division de la Nouvelle-Angleterre de l'Army Corps of Engineers des États-Unis. Le site choisi, dans le nord-est du Maine, à l'intérieur du canton de Limestone et de la plantation Caswell, près de la frontière canadienne, est le point des États-Unis continentaux le plus proche de l'Europe, offrant une valeur stratégique élevée pendant la guerre froide.
