Taormine est située sur la côte est de la Sicile, à peu près à mi-chemin entre Messine et Catane , au sud de la province de Messine.
Elle s’étend sur une terrasse du Mont Tauro à 200 m d’altitude, un des derniers sommets des monts Peloritani.
