L’hôtel Hayme de Bomal, de style classique, a été construit en pierre calcaire vers 1775. L’imposante façade présente un soubassement percé de cinq baies et les cinq travées des deux étages sont encadrées de pilastres.
La qualité du décor intérieur du bâtiment réside notamment dans les décors en bois peint de style Louis XVI.
L’hôtel a été le siège de la Préfecture du département de l’Ourte.
Siège jusqu’il y a peu du musée d’Armes, l’hôtel a été rénové pour être intégré dans le futur parcours muséal du Grand Curtius.
