L’île de Montréal, est située au confluent du fleuve Saint-Laurent et de la rivière des Outaouais dans le Sud-Ouest du Québec. C’est la plus grande île de l’archipel d’Hochelaga. Elle coïncide avec une grande partie du territoire de la ville de Montréal et avec celui d’autres municipalités. À elle seule, elle regroupe environ le quart de la population du Québec.
