Axams è un comune nel distretto di Innsbruck-Land in Tirolo con 6193 abitanti. Il comune si trova nel circondario giudiziario di Innsbruck. Il comune è situato nell'area montuosa occidentale a circa 10 km a sud-ovest di Innsbruck e a circa 300 m sopra il fondo della valle dell'Inn. A sud del capoluogo si trovano l'Axamer Lizum e i Kalkkögel, che fanno ancora parte del territorio comunale. A ovest scorre il Sendersbach e a est il Ruifachbach passa accanto a Axams. Attraverso Axams stesso scorre l'Axamer Bach.
