La foresta è di circa 80 ettari, che si trova principalmente nel territorio di Meldert e in parte nei territori di Mazenzele e Asse, in particolare nel borgo di Asse-ter-Heide. La foresta è per lo più di proprietà privata; una parte minore è in possesso dell'Agenzia per la Natura e le Foreste.
