't Sas si trova alla foce del deposito di sabbia del Vecchio Schelda. Il vecchio sas regola il drenaggio del Vecchio Schelda e impedisce l'ingresso di acqua salmastra del Schelda. Il sas è stato costruito nel 1592 ed è quindi il monumento idraulico più antico delle Fiandre.
