Spesso Bilzen viene associata al Jazz Bilzen degli anni '60. Quell'epoca è finita, ma il festival ha reso Bilzen conosciuta in lungo e in largo. Anche termini come 'Demerstadje' e 'terrasjes' vengono spesso collegati a Bilzen. Entrambi danno un buon quadro: puoi goderti tranquillamente la natura, ma puoi anche assaporare i piaceri urbani, e i terrazzi ne sono una piacevole parte. Il visitatore trova nel centro città edifici interessanti, tra cui il municipio del 1686, la chiesa di San Maurizio, una delle poche chiese a navata unica della nostra regione, e il Museo della Lingua.
