Il castello fortificato di Neigem fu eretto nel XIII secolo come una fortezza. Fu completamente ristrutturato nel XVI secolo e nel XX secolo, dopo un incendio devastante, ricostruito interamente. Nel 1949 il castello fu abbassato di un piano, ma questo fu annullato nel 1990, quando l'intero edificio fu restaurato nel modo più originale possibile. Il castello è costruito in parte inarenaria e in parte in mattoni. Il portone d'ingresso al castello, che si trova a Dries, risale al XVIII secolo.
