Velaine-sur-Sambre è una sezione del comune belga di Sambreville situata nella Regione vallona nella provincia di Namur.
Velaine-sur-Sambre si trova a un'altitudine di 159 metri. Contrariamente a quanto indica il suo nome, la Sambre non attraversa il territorio di Velaine, o meglio, non lo attraversa più. Diversi secoli fa, Velaine aveva il suo mulino a livello della rue du Grogneau. Successivamente canalizzata, la Sambre è stata deviata e non passa più per Velaine.
