Sulla cima della collina ti trovi a 53 m sopra il livello del mare, allo stesso livello di quella di Tiegemkerk. Insieme alla collina di Tiegem-dorp, sono due punte sporgenti della cresta principale con Tiegemberg, Anzegem-dorp e Gijzelbrechtegem. Non è un caso che i romani avessero qui un Castrum o campo militare. Infatti, da questo deriva il nome del comune. La vista è mozzafiato: l'intera valle della Schelda da Avelgem a Oudenaarde. L'unico difetto sono le torri di raffreddamento fumanti della centrale elettrica di Ruien. La chiesa classicista di San Pietro di Kaster è stata completata nel 1819.
