Weert è un villaggio nella provincia belga di Anversa e una frazione di Bornem. Weert era un comune autonomo fino alla riorganizzazione municipale del 1977. Weert è stata menzionata per la prima volta nel 1240. Fu venduta allora da Walter van den Coudenborch all'abbazia di San Bavone a Gand con l'obiettivo di dissodarla. Nel 1320 la bonifica era completata e Weert apparteneva amministrativamente e ecclesiasticamente a Temse. Infatti, originariamente si trovava sulla riva sinistra del fiume Schelda, ma intorno al 1240 il corso del fiume Schelda si spostò, e Weert si trovò sulla riva destra del fiume Schelda.
