Cristal Alken è una birra pilsener che è stata creata a maggio 1928 come prima pils in Belgio da Jozef Indekeu ed Edouard Boes ad Alken. Oggi la birra viene prodotta nella Birreria Limburg di Alken. Al momento della fondazione di Cristal, molti birrai belgi non erano ancora in grado di produrre birra a bassa fermentazione, il che ha fatto sì che il prodotto fosse accolto come rivoluzionario. Jozef Indekeu e la sua famiglia di birrai sono stati alla base della produzione di pils belga. Il marchio è diventato la pils più conosciuta del Limburgo ma viene distribuita anche oltre. Nel 1989, la birreria di Londra ha ricevuto la Medaglia d'Oro (Monde Sélection) per la qualità. In occasione dell'80° anniversario, nel 2008 è stata lanciata Cristal 1928 (5,8%), prodotta nello stile dell'originale pilsener dell'inizio del XX secolo.
