Questo cimitero militare al margine del bosco di Houthulst è stato creato dopo la Prima Guerra Mondiale. Le 1.723 tombe belghe provengono da fosse comuni e piccoli cimiteri nelle vicinanze. La maggior parte dei soldati perì il 28 o 29 settembre 1918, durante l'Offensiva Finale. In questo cimitero si trovano anche 81 tombe italiane. Questi soldati italiani erano prigionieri di guerra tedeschi. Questo cimitero militare belga è il secondo più grande e ha una pianta a sei punte.
