Il castello-fattoria di Fernelmont è un vasto quadrilatero circondato da ampi fossati umidi.
Dall'epoca medievale rimane solo l'imponente donjon-portico eretto verso il 1300. Si tratta di un massiccio in calcare perforato da un portale arcuato affiancato da due avanzamenti emisferici.
L'allestimento interno di questo donjon ha conservato un equipaggiamento di qualità composto da latrine, nicchie, lavelli a muro, finestre con panchine, due camini e, soprattutto, un interessante pavimento composto da piccoli tasselli in terracotta vetrificata.
Il resto del castello, in mattoni, risale al XVI secolo e la galleria toscana al 1621. Dal 1986, un'associazione gli ha ridato vita.
