Vollezele era in passato molto conosciuta per le sue scuderie, specializzate nell'allevamento del Cavallo da tiro Brabant. Nel centro di Vollezele si trova una piccola statua del cavallo belga Brillant in memoria di questi allevatori. Questa statuetta non deve essere confusa con la statua più grande presente nella piazza di Lennik. R. Van Der Schueren fondò nel 1867 un allevamento di stalloni, che in seguito prese il nome di "Haras de Vollezeele". Un altro allevatore di stalloni era T. D'Hauwer. Con il passare degli anni, si sono aggiunti diversi allevatori di cavalli, dai quali venivano acquistati stalloni e fattrici e così venivano trasportati in tutto il mondo.
