Sono stati piantati ciliegi dolci e carpini, ma anche lo sviluppo spontaneo ha qui una possibilità. Oltre al valore naturale del bosco e alla sua importanza per il tempo libero, il Vrijbos è anche importante per la produzione di legno di qualità. Gli alberi da taglio qui sono costituiti da faggio, tiglio invernale e quercia estiva.
