Sint Gaugericus:
Secondo un'antica tradizione, il più vecchio luogo di preghiera, a Pamel vicino al Dender, era dedicato al Divino Salvatore o Santo Salvatore (1), ma è certo che nel 1260 Santo Gaugerico era il patrono dell'altare. Tuttavia, nel 1572/1573, secondo i rapporti decanali, l'altare principale era dedicato a Santo Lorenzo, nel 1593 fu nuovamente indicato Santo Gaugerico e all'inizio del 17° secolo l'abate di Ninove menzionò entrambi affianco. Successivamente, Santo Lorenzo a Pamel superò chiaramente Santo Gaugerico in popolarità, ma quest'ultimo rimase comunque il patrono della parrocchia.
