Il Château Le Fy fu costruito nel 1904-1905 da Paul Saintenoy per Jean-Edouard Jules Van Parys, genero di Ernest Solvay. Nel 1923 François Paul Lefévre divenne il proprietario. Questi era console belga in Cina. Dal 1930 al 1940 rimase vuoto. Allora l'occupante tedesco vi prese residenza. Dal 1944 vi erano truppe americane di stanza. Nel 1951 fu messo a disposizione di un'organizzazione del padre Dominique Pire per l'accoglienza di rifugiati provenienti da paesi dell'Est Europa.
