Das Château Le Fy wurde 1904-1905 von Paul Saintenoy für Jean-Edouard Jules Van Parys, den Schwiegersohn von Ernest Solvay, erbaut. 1923 wurde François Paul Lefévre Eigentümer. Dieser war belgischer Konsul in China. Von 1930 bis 1940 stand es leer. Dann nahm der deutsche Besatzer dort Quartier. Ab 1944 waren amerikanische Truppen dort stationiert. 1951 wurde es einer Organisation von Pater Dominique Pire zur Verfügung gestellt, um Flüchtlinge aus osteuropäischen Ländern aufzunehmen.
