La stazione di Anversa-Dokken e -Stapelplaatsen abbreviata in Anversa-Dokken o Anversa-D.S. ad Anversa si chiamava tra il 1840 e il 1854 stazione di Anversa. Sebbene la stazione dovesse originariamente diventare una stazione passeggeri, fu infine inaugurata il 25 agosto 1840 come stazione commerciale di Anversa. La prima sede della stazione si trovava in Oude Leeuwenrui, vicino a Brouwersvliet e alle strutture portuali. I rami servivano il Regio Entrepot e i bacini portuali. Attraverso la Rijnpoort, la stazione era collegata all'allora stazione di Borgerhout e così via con la linea ferroviaria 25. Con il completamento della ferrovia Rhein il 13 ottobre 1843, la stazione si trovava all'inizio della IJzeren Rijn, un importante corridoio internazionale di merci tra il porto di Anversa e l'area della Ruhr, aumentando l'importanza internazionale del porto e costituendo la base per la significativa comunità tedesca nell'Anversa del XIX secolo.
