Il Griesbroek è un'area naturale nella Grande Foresta di Netewoud nel comune belga di Balen. Si trova tra Hulsen e Olmen nella valle del Grande Nete ed è gestita da Natuurpunt. Oltre al Grande Nete scorrono anche il Heiloop e il Laak attraverso l'area. L'area, originariamente una foresta paludosa, è stata disboscata a partire dal X secolo. Inizialmente veniva utilizzata per pascolare pecore, in seguito furono recintati prati utilizzati come praterie per il fieno. Intorno al 1500 questo era un dato di fatto. Successivamente fu realizzato un sistema di prati allagati per portare acqua ricca di nutrienti dal Grande Nete per aumentare la produzione di erba. L'estrazione di torba è stata praticata per secoli e alla fine del XIX secolo venne estratto anche il minerale di ferro.
